One idea... Roses or other flowers (6?) - they can be fabric, ribbon, crochet, ect, on hair clips or pins for attaching to jackets, purses or even in your hair. Perhaps they should arrive creatively like on green skewers (aka stems) or in a bowl as if you are "drying them out". Given that it's Valentine's Day not only should you get flowers, but chocolates.
Hi Marcel . How about a Lazy Girl Designs Runaround Bag? You can make them a little bigger and it will hold a Tablet, a reader, like a Kindle, or you can use it as a small purse. They are easy to make. Take care. Betty Maki
I was thinking about this some more - if you did the siggy blocks, instead of signing our name, etc...we could put our favourite "love" quote or line from a movie. Then you'd get a big blanket full of different quotes and full of valentines day colours!!
I just googled searched "Valenetine's sewing projects" and came up with bowl fills http://fabricpaperthread.blogspot.com/2007/12/use-it-up.html, Valentine's Day sachet http://www.marthastewart.com/269651/lavender-sachets, decorative pillows (these could be sent unstuffed)http://www.brother-usa.com/homesewing/GetCreative/project.aspx?project=valpillow&Name=Valentine Heart Pillow&PID=110, table runners (I'm a blonde. I missed this is a flag) http://fredashive.blogspot.com/2008/01/free-pattern-valentine-flagbanner.html, embellished handtowels http://www.sheskindacrafty.com/2011/01/valentine-hand-towel.html, and for those of you who are single, I got a kick out of this... http://www.craftstylish.com/item/40399/how-to-make-your-own-valentine. Perhaps he should come with some chocolates. =)
