WINTER Poem

It's wintertime in KANSAS

And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 25 below!

Oh, you know how I love KANSAS

When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful

So I guess I'll hang around

I could never ever leave KANSAS

I'm frozen to the ground!

Hehehe... We drove through there two days ago. I'm happy to be home in my warmer state of Texas. =)
I'll bring some salt to get you unstuck so you can migrate south with me.

Good Grief, winter in So. FL - try 29 degrees at night, 20-30 mph gusts sustained 15-20 and feels like mid-teens. We've had cold since the end of December. It's never been like this. Finally, with the 29 I put the 'heater' on. Yeah, right (no furnace here) and 60 degrees in the sewing room since 3 Jan. The north windows aren't even closed, well, it looks like it with the curtains blowing. UNREAL!!! We aren't prepared for anything like this. My first big fabric purchase will be WOOL for DRAPES! Stay warm and dry. Blessings, Janet

Oh that is hilarious!!! I love it. Wish my Mom were still alive I'd share it with her. I remember all the stories she would tell about horrible Wichita, KS winters. lol!!! Stay warm!!
