I have some very sad news....

Rest In Peace Tonk Tonk Ba Donka Donk

Tatanka has passed away ... I am sure it was from heat... its been over 100 here for weeks.. could not keep enough cold water in the bowls... especially when one has to work during the day. The last couple of days there has been no wind.... If I had only known.. he was in danger... he was and outdoor dog all the way... Could not keep him in the house.. he went nuts.... He literately would climb the curtains and walls trying to get out.
He chewed the bars of the kennel... wanting out!!!
I know he is in a better place now.... I will see him again one day!
Tatanka Thank you for being my friend!

Thank you everyone for your sweet words and kindness..
I know that in my heart of hearts he is ok.. and is happy chasing that Gillee Girl of mine until I get there to be with them. I know that he is doing what he use to do best.. herd the creatures... LOL I might have to re-teach him his manners when we meet up again... but I know that he will be the good boy that he was. All of you are very right I will really miss him. In fact after work .. I had to go out and stand by his pen. My heart is heavy.. but in time it will soar again....Because I know I will be with all my passed little fur babies one day!!
Thank you everyone for caring!

Sorry to hear the news. Losing a pet is always a hard thing. When it gets really hot outside, we make sure they have plenty of shade, fill the outside water bowl with lots of ice cubes, and we even refill empty bigger bottles with water and freeze them too, the dogs play with them or lay on them. The bigger the ice chunks in the water bowl, the longer they last. Use gallon size ziplocks, or pans, or pitchers that you can dump the huge chunk of ice out of. You need lots of freezer space to accomadate.

I am sorry for your loss. I understand that some dogs just want to be free, not confined.
I am sure it is a terrible loss. I know I would be lost without my little friend, Katie.
Peace.

Oh, M, I'm sorry. The heat has been very unforgiving and losing him because of it makes it worse. (((HUGS)))

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. I know how important they are in our lives. I have one also who is outside because she eats sheet rock.
Many blessings to you!
