UP DATE

I have been contacted by one of the 4 women I have been speaking about all day. She has requested I give her time to make the swaps right. She indicated the items were sent.. but she would remake items and put tracking numbers and signatures to receive on them this time. I agreed to give her time to make the swaps right and not file police reports. So we will see...
If my swappers get their items.. I will give a formal apology in writing here on my blog to the ladies!!!! For being such a jerk!!!!
I am so sorry all of you are having to be a part of this mess. I stand up for what I think is right. I also say I am sorry when I am wrong too!!!

That is such a shame that some take away the fun from the real swappers . Hope it all works out for you .

Dearest Swap Mommie,
You are NOT a jerk - what you did was the right thing!!!
It's NOT right for someone to sign up for swaps and NOT follow through to make sure that their parnter has received the packages, if indeed they really mailed it/or to contact the swap mommie ASAP if you can't fulfill your responsibly on time.
I don't believe you have done anything to apolgize for, I think YOU and the LADIES who have been flaked out by this person or persons are the ones who NEED the apology.
Just wanted you to know!

I don't think you have been a jerk. As you mentioned before this has happened several times with these same ladies. You didn't fly off the handle over a simple misunderstanding.

People get away with this sort of thing because the people they cheat don't do anything about it. And don't warn others.

I'm sorry this happened to you swap. Hope it all works out in the end...

You're not a jerk! Quite the opposite! Good for you for calling them/her out! This person(s) has done the same thing on SwapBot and 1 apron swap went bad on Crafters.com and is a SwapLifter! I have proof and have done some digging around! It's not pretty- a huge mess! She has been suspended from SwapBot and had 3 accounts (all suspended). Lots of items were not reciprocated and she flaked on MANY! So this isn't a first! Hopefully it will be the last!! I'm behind you and support you- you've done a good thing! Noone should be flaked like that! Hugs to you my dear pal!!

Hi there,
I'm Molly and I live in Portland, OR. I just jumped to your blog from another, and I would like some details on your disappearing 9-patch swap. I have never participated in a swap, and would like to join if it is still open!

wow, jerk? I think not. I'm tired of hosting apron swaps and having people get stiffed too. You are a sweet person who wants others to BE FAIR. Not such a tough concept...except for those who don't PLAY FAIR.

Hi, I'm not a swapper but I do follow your blog. I think its 'chill' as my teen says. I will say (not to defend your swap stiffer)that NM has a great huge problem with postal employees stealing packages-both ingoing and out going, along with greeting/holiday cards, good magazines and bank cards/statements. Any package is fair game and they sometimes get delivered obviously ripped open and inspected. If they don't want the stuff sometimes we will get the damaged package. Most times not. Its been ongoing for a few years but nothing ever gets done. All they do is quietly transfer the employee somewhere else in NM when they get enough complaints in one neighborhood. I happen to be in Alb. NM. So I did feel (a little) pity for the swapper. But since she has had mail problems in the past she ought to know how to send out packages. Everything I send out goes registered and insured-everything I order in is delivered by UPS. But good luck and hopefully she was telling the truth and those swappers will get their items!
