Delayed Swaps are just as nice :)

As everyone knows.. I am bad about listing the bad swappers on my blog. I have just been contacted by my partner from the Gypsy Mermaid swap. She was unaware of me not getting my swap. She was very apologetic and is going to send me out a new swap. I have to tell you this is very sweet and kind of her to make up this swap to me. I give her a round of applause for her efforts to make this right with me :) Thank you Ms L.

So that tells me the Hostess did not do her job of follow-up. This is why it is so important to keep in contact with your swap partners and Hostess. Several of my readers have been involved in some of my swaps. I send out e-mails with reminders all of the time. As you can see by my sideboard I continue to up date the status of my swaps also. If you don't hear from me regarding sign ups or anything else ... PLEASE PLEASE contact me. I have my e-mail address in my profile :)

Once again Ms L thank you for the make up swap :)

I am so happy that she is fulfilling her end of the swap! How disappointing that a hostess wouldn't put in the effort to contact her!

Yes I know how that goes, My swap partner never even dared to excuse herself from the swap or anything she just never sent anything to me. So I was left out in the cold, so the swap hostess found me an angel who generously made another package for me and sent it to me but still received no package , you know what I think the first swap partner jinxed the whole thing. lol. But seriously I hope it's late because of the holidays. but it has been 2 1/2 weeks. and we are worried. But I sure hate flakes, I wish they would drop off the edge of the world, they ruin our life and our health, they are a real bummer. sorry but it had to come out. So good day anyways

I think that is so sad to hear that your hostess didn't follow through.
I worry sometimes about too MUCH follow up when I host. I feel like a stalker! HA!

LOL I do understand about the stalker thing... I even think I get a bit harsh on my posts.. but it's so frustrating when you have to keep posting and posting without results. So that is why I came up with the question of the Angel before the swap even begins. So I can have a safety net to fall back on just in case :) I have had a ton of great responses from the people that have signed up for my Apron swap :) I do understand unexpected things do happen.. but the key to that is communication ...communication, communication!!!!!
